Milton Fuentes, Psy.D.
Dr. Milton A. Fuentes received his MA in psychology with a Latinx psychology focus from Montclair State University and his doctorate in clinical psychology from Rutgers University. He completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in clinical and community psychology at Yale University and secured post- doctoral training in epidemiology at Columbia University. He is the 2012 President of the National Latinx Psychological Association. Dr. Fuentes has also served as an ethnic minority delegate to the America Psychological Association’s (APA) Council of Representatives and as a member of APA’s Board for the Advancement of Psychology in the Public Interest, APA’s Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs, and the APA Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Collaborative. Dr. Fuentes’ research and clinical interests are in the areas of Latinx, multicultural, and family psychology; program development; pedagogy; and motivational enhancement. He serves as a consultant to academic campuses, community-based agencies, and corporate clients, helping them center EDI in their mission and strategic planning efforts. Dr. Fuentes is currently a professor in the psychology department at Montclair State University as well as a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and New York.

Isha Walwina Metzger, PhD
Dr. Isha Metzger is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Georgia State University, and Visiting Research Faculty at the Center for Interdisciplinary Research on AIDS’ at Yale University. Dr. Metzger earned her PhD in Clinical-Community Psychology from the University of South Carolina, she completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Medical University of South Carolina, and she received postdoctoral training both at the National Crime Victims Center and at Yale University. As Director of The EMPOWER Lab at UGA, Dr. Metzger focuses on reducing mental health disparities through "Engaging Minorities in Prevention, Outreach, Wellness, Education, & Research.” Dr. Metzger’s systematic research program is aimed at healing culturally specific risk factors like racial discrimination through utilizing protective factors like racial socialization to improve cognitive and behavioral outcomes for BIPOC youth receiving evidence-based services for interpersonal and racial stress and trauma in “real world” settings. Dr. Metzger is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a certified clinician and trainer for Trauma Cocused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. She offers award-winning instruction, supervision, training, and consultation to students, professionals, and organizations across the nation on the delivery of evidence-based treatments for underserved individuals seeking mental health treatment for a range of problems including anxiety, depression, PTSD, racial trauma, and substance misuse.

Armando Pina, Ph.D.
Armando Pina, Ph.D.
Dr. Pina is a Latino Psychologist with extensive expertise on developing and evaluating interventions for reducing and preventing anxiety and related disorders in pediatric populations. Dr. Pina has published numerous scientific articles and book chapters including works relevant to risk, resilience, prevention, and treatments for vulnerable youth. He is Associate Editor of the Journal of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, the flagship journal for Division 53 (Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology) of the American Psychological Association and is on the editorial board of several other scientific journals. Dr. Pina also serves on the NIH’s Center for Scientific Review. Dr. is the 2021 recebient of the Dalmas A. Taylor APA midcareer award for his contributions to science for people of color.
